India dominated and defeated South Africa | In the 1st ODI between India and South Africa, there was a powerful performance by Shreyas and Sudarshan following the earlier success of Arshdeep and Avesh.

 India secured victory with eight wickets in the first ODI against South Africa. They successfully chased down the target of 117 runs in the 17th over. On December 17, India triumphed over South Africa by 8 wickets in the first ODI, taking a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series. Chasing the target was easy for the Indian team. Once Rituraj Gaekwad got out for 23 runs, Sai Sudarshan and Shreyas Iyer took over without any problems.
